Principal Corner

Hello Mullenix Ridge Families, Mullenix Ridge Elementary is a school built on high expectations for students, for staff, and for the work we do together every day. I am honored to serve as its principal, and as a former Eagle who walked these very halls in the school's first-ever 1st-grade class, shooting hoops, learning to read, and making lifelong friends, coming back isn't a job to me. It's a homecoming. I bring extensive experience across the Peninsula, University Place, and Steilacoom School Districts, with a deep background in special education and seven years as principal at Cherrydale Elementary in Steilacoom. Most importantly, I strive to treat every student who walks our halls as if their last name were Douglas. Beyond school, I'm a husband and father of two daughters, Hadley and Blakely. My wife Kristen and I are both South Kitsap graduates who met right here at Sedgwick Middle School. I look forward to partnering with families, staff, and our PTA to ensure every Eagle thrives.
